Auður has worked extensively on music creation with children for several years. In 2019 Auður published a children's songbook, Tónlistin er þín (The Music Is Yours) which can be found on the website: www.tonafondur.com.

Auður is a composer, singer, children's choir conductor and singing teacher in Iceland. She´s been teaching her songs to children for several years and her music is well known among choir conductors, music educators and within the children's society in Iceland.

New in Music with Children

In May 2024, Auður brought two primary school choirs, Skólakór Kársness and Kór Hamraskóli, together in a collaborative project where the choirs recorded songs from Auður's book Tónlistin er þín with songs and texts by Auður with the accompaniment of Gunnar Gunnarsson and Örn Ýmir Arason. Þorgrímur Þorsteinsson was in charge of the recording. The project was sponsored by the Culture Fund of FÍH and the Icelandic Music Fund.
