Auður finished her DipABRSM with Distinction at the Reykjavík School of Singing in the spring of 2001.  Auður sought her further education at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow and finished a Post Graduate Diploma. In Iceland Audur graduated with a LRSM (Licentiate of The Royal Schools of Music) degree in singing teaching from the Reykjavík School of Singing in the spring of 2005. 

 

Auður has performed at numerous concerts in Iceland and abroad. Examples of alto solos Audur has sung are Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in St. St. Petersburg in 2006, All-night Vigil (Vespers)  by Rachmaninov in 2007,  Mozart Requiem with Motet Choir of Hallgrímskirkja in 2012 and Te deum by Charpentier in 2015.

 

Auður has performed at various music concerts and venues, including jazz concerts with Gunnar Gunnarsson and his jazz band.  She is a member of  the chamber choirs Schola Cantorum and the St. Barbara Choir in Iceland, both of which work as high standard professional choirs. In 2015 Auður founded the female singing group Elfur along with a few co-workers. 

 

Auður graduated with an M.Ed.Art degree in Arts Education from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2017. In 2019, Auður published a songbook for children, Tónlistin er þín (The Music Is Yours), which can be found on the website www.tonafondur.com. Auður has composed well over forty choral works and songs . She performs at concerts, weddings, funerals and various occasions. Auður works as a professional singer and composer, children's choir conductor and music teacher in Iceland.
